is nothing like what i thought it would be.
rather,
an unglamorous
tugging and tearing of wills
a gentle laying down,
a fierce laying down.
a vegetable garden -
only a couple of sprouts
to indicate the carrots
we are waiting to feast on.
labor on, the soil is ripe
and the harvest rains
are pouring down.
